What is an Automation Anyway

When I tell people that I am a systems and automations strategist, I am often met with the question, “what are automations?”

I hate to get all technical, but The International Society of Automation defines automation as...

“the creation and application of technology to monitor and control the production and delivery of products and services.” *

Well, to say it in everyday terms, it is software that does repeatable tasks on autopilot so that you don't have to.

There also seems to be a bit of confusion when it comes to CRM's (customer relationship management systems) and email marketing systems. I talk about this a lot on my Instagram account. You can check it out here.

So let me tell you about the two different systems. Ultimately you do need both, but we will get to that later.

A CRM is like your old school file cabinet but super nice right. It's where you manage your client's personal information, invoices, appointments, contracts and so much more.

Now, what's super cool is that you can automate like your whole process pretty much. I call my CRM Zoe. She is my personal assistant!

She does ALL the things!

On the other hand, an email marketing system is designed to capture leads, love on them, and invite them to work with you. You are part of my email marketing family. Hey!

These two systems work together to take care of you and your clients.

If you follow me on any of my social media platforms, you know that I help bosses implement CRM's, LMS’s and email marketing systems to help organize their businesses, reclaim their time and increase their profits.

Look at me going on and on! Lol, I could talk about the many different systems forever!

I will tell you more about systems next time.
